Old images of Ukraine president Zelenskyy that are not related to the February invasion by Russia are shared with misleading claims on social media. Many people have posted the images with claims that he has put on a military uniform to join troops fighting for their homeland. The claims are “The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is on the ground with his fellow troops. Patriot! Stand with Ukraine”, “Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visiting the frontlines in Eastern Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s commencement of its full-scale war against Ukraine.”
In fact, it’s not true. On 26 February, Ukraine’s President released a video on Saturday, asking people not to believe in fake news.
