Verification: Old video is shared with false claims
Due to the spread of the Coronavirus in India, a lot of old and unrelated videos and images are shared with false and misleading claims. The video shared is one year old and is being circulated on social media with the claim that a few Muslims are intentionally putting saliva to spoons and plates so as to spread the coronavirus. The same video was also shared last year with claims that Muslims are licking cutlery and plates on Eid before serving food to Hindus

The same video is found on Vimeo and is posted last year (2019) which is similar to the video shared with the misleading claim. According to this story, the video is of Bohra community, not Muslim. People of Dawoodi Bohra religion do not waste food.
