Verification: Photoshopped Image of Fighter Jet is shared with false claims
A photoshopped image of Fighter Jet is being circulated with the false claim that the Indian Air Force used symbols on a fighter jet to take a dig at Pakistanis who claimed that trees and a crow were the casualties in the Balakot airstrikes. Aa watermark saying ‘Bharat Rakshak’ is also seen on the viral image. In a reverse image search, the image was found at a website, zone5aviation.com, that had uploaded the same photo and the aircraft is said to be as Dassault Mirage 2000H/TH. Check the image number 9 at the website. The image uploaded on the website does not have the painted signs and any text on the aircraft.
The Quint spoke with the founder of Zone5Aviation website Angad Singh. He told the outlet that the image in circulation is “fake” and that he had captured the original one in December 2012 in Gwalior.
Check the photoshopped image (first image) and the real image (Second image) at the website:
Check the text with the image on the website:
Bharat Rakshak Website and Community on Indian Military, Open Source Intelligence & International Military Developments, clarified about the morphed image used as a viral post with false claims:
Sorry, but this is a fake photo being circulated and did not originate with @bharatrakshak We do feel flattered that the person who faked it wanted the BR watermark to assign some sense of authenticity to it – but yeah.. its fake.. sorry @CestMoiz if this was disappointing! https://t.co/kAVYpzgjUs

The same image was earlier shared by Pakistanis to Mock Indian Air Force and now it is vice versa
