While we use Net for various activities, there are few things we should be careful about. Here we are introducing you to three of the few activities that can damage us in different ways. Spoofing, Clickbaits and SockPuppet are few ways by which our important information can be extracted and used by wrong people. Let us know more about each one of this :
Spoofing:

Clickbaits:
So the word seems pretty self-explanatory. The web is absolutely festering with half-cooked headlines and photoshopped images just begging for your attention. “Click Me” they say, “and behold the tabloidal emptiness within, if only to distract from your own psychic pain and emotional bankruptcy for a few numbing moments.”
Alternatively referred to as link bait, clickbait or click bait is a term used to describe a type of hyperlink on a web page that entices a visitor to click to continue reading an article. Clickbait links will often forward the user to a page that requires payment, registration, or is one in a series of pages to help drive page views for the site. Most clickbait type links have catchy or provocative headlines that are difficult for most users to resist and often have little or nothing to do with the actual web page. Below is an example of a non clickbait title and how that title could be made into a clickbait title. It’s manipulative but you know you’re being manipulated. So for the person writing a clickbait-y headline, the key is to manipulate in a way that appeals to the reader’s emotions and curiosity. Writing clickbait headlines is simply a matter of combining half an actual idea with a generic provocation. The quality, accuracy or pertinence of the content you arrive at is irrelevant. All that matter are emotions and curiosity: Read more
Sock Puppet:
The term sockpuppet stems from its literal meaning, which refers to a puppet created by placing a sock over one’s hand. The origins of the term imply that the disguise is generally crude and unsophisticated. A sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception. The term, a reference to the manipulation of a simple hand puppet made from a sock, originally referred to a false identity assumed by a member of an Internet community who spoke to, or about, themselves while pretending to be another person. The term now includes other misleading uses of online identities, such as those created to praise, defend or support a person or organization, to manipulate public opinion, or to circumvent a suspension or ban from a website. A significant difference between the use of a pseudonym and the creation of a sockpuppet is that the sockpuppet poses as an independent third-party unaffiliated with the main account operator. Sock Puppets are unwelcome in many online communities and forums.
