Verification: There was no communal angle to the migrants gathered at Bandra station
Due to lockdown migrants who work in Mumbai, couldn’t go to their respective hometowns. They were informed by mischievous elements about the restarting of trains after the lockdown. The people just wanted to go home. Many people on social media and the mainstream media gave this gathering a communal tone and shared with various misleading captions. Sunni Jama Masjid is just a minute away from Bandra station. The gathering was also linked to the Mosque.
There was no communal angle to the gathering at Bandra. It was just that people from different states wanted to go home and came there in the hope of reaching their families. Check the links below
