Musicians of the Central Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan on Wednesday pleased the passengers of the Tashkent metro, performed songs of the war years. The action was organized by the Ministry of Defense in honor of the upcoming Day of Remembrance and Honor (May 9). The ensemble started the performance at 16:30from the metro station “Dustlik” (former “Chkalova”) on the Uzbekistan line. Musicians on the train moved through the stations, sang in the cars and on the escalator. Passengers heard songs in Russian – “Katyusha”, “Victory Day”, “Viennese Waltz”, “Three Tankers”, “Spark”, “Blue Handkerchief”, “Smuglyanka-Moldavian”, “Dark Night”, “Oh, roads …”, in the Uzbek language – “Bayroging”, “Jon Vatan”, “Mukaddas Vatan”, “Officerlar”, “Maktub” and others. People sang along with the ensemble, took pictures with the military, danced, laughed, and some could see tears in their eyes. The metro administration did not prevent people from taking pictures.
