[SPAM] Rupees 2000 Notes Systematically Pulled Out of Circulation

It’s a fake news circulating with no authenticity. Otherwise if it’s an inside story then we shall trust ONLY if the story originates from a source other than Facebook or WhatsApp and could be considered similar to Wikileaks kind.

Below post has been circulating on social media

Currency notes of rs 2000 denomination are being systematically pulled out of circulation. Silently and slowly. So if you are holding them on large scale, start changing them to Rs 500 notes. This was confirmed by our bank manager today. He also said that you are no longer receiving 2k notes from ATMs. Which I realised is true after speaking to him. I have not received 2k notes over the last three withdrawals – only 500 and 100.
