Once again such post is viral on social media that gives us wrong information. RBI has not shared any such information. This is just a rumor as RBI doesn’t get into how an ATM functions. ATM functions depend on the Banks and the vendors who have given the ATM services.

While this is circulating on social media, we would like to inform you that there are ways fraud is being done in ATMs. Installation of Skimmer, Lebanese loop, an overlay on top of the numeric ATM pad to capture PINs, hidden cameras to record user keystrokes are few ways one can be looted at ATM. Be a little cautious about what you see and what you feel about the message you recieve. We need to receive and share the facts and just not the fakes.
