As the Durian season approaches, there has always been false messages seen related to Durian since years with different claims about its effect by eating it with combination to other food items. Eating lots of Durians and drinking soda will not kill you. It may only cause indigestion, bloating, and discomfort since the liver needs to exert more effort in metabolising fats and sugar from the soda and Durian. The reported lethal combination of Coke and durian has not been scientifically established.

Every time I get into Durian, I have a random warning about “do not eat Durian with other food” is back to go viral again.
As in this photo (it should be from Vietnam). We have all since
– do not eat durian with soda.
– do not eat durian with mangosteen.
– do not eat durian with crab
– do not eat durian with eggplant.
Etc.
All of these are messed up!! Not true at all.
The only thing that warns each other and it’s true is not to eat durian with alcohol only.
