False information is shared with claims that for the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Project, 80 Muslim houses were bought for demolition and 45 temples were discovered there. The post can be seen here and here.
In fact, while checking at the corresponding website for Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Project, 307 houses were bought and none belonged to any Muslim. According to Alt News Vishal Singh, CEO, Kashi Vishwanath Special Area Development Board, told Alt News that till now 250 houses have been demolished for the project. When asked if any of the razed homes belonged to members of the Muslim community, Singh said, “Not even a single house demolished was occupied by Muslims as the area is predominately Hindu.”
