In fact the photo is of Shri Raman Maharishi’s funeral. Ramana Maharishi died on 14th April 1950. The photo was taken by Henri Cartier-Bresson. The photo can be seen here. Cartier-Bresson took some of the last photographs of Ramana on April 4, 1950, and went on to take pictures of the Mahasamadhi preparations. The photo can be seen here, here.
