Verification: Video is from Karachi-Toronto Flight of Pakistan International Airlines
The video of passengers inside flight arguing on maintaining social distancing is shared on social media with the claim that the video was shot inside an Air India flight from Chicago-Delhi, where passengers were charged three times for one seat so as to maintain social distancing but the flight was fully packed and no seats were kept vacant to maintain social distancing due to COVID-19.
The video is not from Air India flight. It is shot in PIA ( Pakistan International Flight ) Karachi – Toronto flight. The news was shared by ANI on April 29, 2020. Air India also clarified that the video is not from Air India in the tweet shared below. Air India Replied ” Dear Pax, The video is not of an Air India aircraft. You are advised not to spread such misinformation in a public domain which may create panic & is a recognised offence. We are compelled to report your tweet for maligning Air India & sparking false anxiety.” PIB Fact Check also clarified that the video is not from India. Check the link shared below to know the facts:
