Verification: The graphics depicting the Mahabhatra episode are not created by Myntra for its advertisement
The graphics depicting an episode from Mahabharat and Lord Krishna shopping online is shared on social media claiming it to be a Myntra (An Online Shopping App) advertisement.
The viral posts with images depicting the Mahabharata episode (Draupadi Cheer Haran by Duryodhan) showing the text from the Lord Krishna mobile, ordering an extra-long sari. The post was earlier viral with hashtag #uninstallMyntra and now with added Hashtags #BoycottMyntra, #HateMyntra. The posts shared can be seen on FaceBook earlier and on Twitter recently.
In fact, the content is not created by Myntra. The graphics were created by the content-creating website Scroll Droll in 2016 and were soon removed due to controversies. Myntra also tweeted about its disassociation with the graphics. ScrollDroll took responsibility for the artwork and tweeted that Myntra was nowhere associated with the viral content.
