The videos of people sticking magnets to their arms and claiming that they become magnetic after the COVID-19 vaccine are shared on various social platforms. The viral posts can be seen here, here, here, here. Some people claim this as proof of a microchip in the vaccine – a theory that isn’t true. This was fact-checked earlier by AFP.
The videos shown are of TikTok users participating in a viral “magnet test challenge.”
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shared additional information on its website and confirm that there are “no trackers” in the vaccines themselves. State governments track where you got the vaccine and which kind you received
using a computerized database to make sure you get all recommended doses at the right time. You will also get a card showing that you have received a COVID-19 vaccine.
