A photo of a television actress Urfi Javed is viral with false claims relating her to Javed Akhtar. The post is viral on Facebook and Twitter with a communal twist as well. The claim is “नकाब और बुरखा सिर्फ कमजोर महिलाओं के लिए है अगर किसी मौलाना या मौलवी मे दम है तो जावेद अख्तर की पोती को नकाब पहना कर दिखाए.”
The girl in the photo is not Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar’s granddaughter. She is in fact, a television actress Urfi Javed. Shabana Azmi tweeted about the false claims and clarified it earlier when a video of Urfi Javed was viral relating her with Javed Akhtar. All the videos and photos can be found on the Facebook page TellyTalk India. Shabana Azmi had shared photos of Javed Akhtar with his granddaughter on her Instagram profile.
