“Liquor Should Be Sold Through Aadhaar Card And All Those Subsidied And Facilities Should Be Closed To Those Who Buy Liquor”
“शराब की बिक्री सिर्फ आधार कार्ड के माध्यम से होनी चाहिए शराब खरीदने वालों को कोई भी सरकारी सब्सिडी या सुविधाएं नहीं देनी चाहिए | अगर किसी के पास शराब खरीदने के लिए पैसे हैं, तो वो राशन खरीदने में भी सक्षम है | यहां हम लोगों को मुफ्त का राशन दे रहे हैं, वहीं वो शराब में पैसे उड़ा रहे हैं |-रतन टाटा.”
Verification: Ratan Tata did not say anything about the requirement of Aadhaar card to buy Liquor
The fake post regarding the requirement of an Aadhaar Card to buy Liquor is shared attributing the written message to Ratan Tata. The fake viral post says “Liquor should be sold through Aadhaar card And all those subsidied and facilities should be closed to those who buy liquor”, ““शराब की बिक्री सिर्फ आधार कार्ड के माध्यम से होनी चाहिए शराब खरीदने वालों को कोई भी सरकारी सब्सिडी या सुविधाएं नहीं देनी चाहिए | अगर किसी के पास शराब खरीदने के लिए पैसे हैं, तो वो राशन खरीदने में भी सक्षम है | यहां हम लोगों को मुफ्त का राशन दे रहे हैं, वहीं वो शराब में पैसे उड़ा रहे हैं |-रतन टाटा.” There is no such statement shared by Ratan Tata. Many such fake posts were shared in the name of Ratan Tata, which Ratan Tata himself refuted on his social media account here, here.
