A viral post with the claim “अमूल दूध के मालिक आनंद सेठ ने गौमांस खाने वाले 1.38 लाख कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से निकाला। धन्यवाद आनंद सेठ जी”is circulating on social media. (Owner of Amul Milk Anand Seth fired 1.38 lakh employees for consuming beef). This is not true.
Amul stands for Anand Milk Udyog Limited. Check more about the organization here. according to information on the website, Shri Shamalbhai B Patel is the Chairman of GCMMF, Shri Valamjibhai R Humbal is the Vice Chairman and Dr. RS Sodhi is the managing Director. Anand Seth’s name is probably being taken as AMUL stands for “Anand Milk Udyog Limited”. Moreover, Amul is a cooperative of dairy. It does not have any owner.
BoomLive contacted the head office of GCMMF(Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Society) in Gujarat. Speaking to BOOM, an official from GCMMF refuted the viral claim.
