Social media users “Facebook” circulated pictures showing citizens arresting a young man who dressed as a woman, who tried to kidnap a child from North Ninety Street, in front of Gate 8 in one of the famous malls in Fifth Avenue.
The photo traders said that citizens succeeded in arresting this young man, before he kidnapped one of the children, believing that he was initially a woman, but after talking to him and searching him, they discovered that he was a young man disguised as a woman, and that he was handed over to the police

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division announced, “There is no truth to what is being circulated on some social media about the arrest of a man in Lebanon dressed as a woman who is luring and kidnapping children.”
She explained, “The young man was arrested in one of the countries about two years ago,” demanding “not to publish any news before making sure of his health in order to prevent confusion and spread fear and anxiety.”
The image was also seen recently on twitter account of Internal Security Forces @LebISF shared on 12 Sep 2019, that says :
“There is no truth to what is being circulated on some social media about the arrest of a man in Lebanon dressed in a woman’s clothes and luring and kidnapping children, knowing that “the young man was arrested in one of the countries about two years ago, so the General Directorate requests not to publish any news before making sure it is correct in order to avoid provoking Confusion and spread fear and anxiety”
