A video that shows a crocodile swimming in the flooded street of a residential society is going viral on social media platforms with a claim that the incident happened in Bengaluru’s Bellandur. The claim of the video is “Crocodile come for a walk in Bangalore Road Bellandur.” Some people mixed two videos, one from Shivpuri MP and the other from Bangalore, and shared them on social media. That is quite misleading.
In fact, the video shared is from Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri, where an 8-foot-long crocodile entered a residential society after heavy rainfall through an overflowing drain. The incident occurred on August 14, 2022. The crocodile was rescued following an hour-long attempt by a rescue team from the Madhav National Park and was released in the Sankhya Sagar Lake.
