Clouds can not plunge off the sky and settle on the ground and a cloud shown in a recent video falling in the UAE was just artificial foam, according to the national centre for meteorology and earthquakes.
The centre was reacting to a 3.5-minute video film published on U-Tube and many newspapers in the Gulf a presumed white cloud falling in the fertile Bida Faris area just outside the eastern oasis town of Al-Ain.
“What was seen in that video was not a cloud but artificial foam because it is impossible for a cloud to fall on the ground,” the centre said, quoted by the Dubai-based Arabic language Emirat Al-youm newspaper.
