Various unproven theories are circulating on social platforms after PM Modi addressed the nation on 3rd April 2020 regarding lighting lamps and candles to show solidarity while fighting the pandemic.

Verification: Lighting lamps and candles is to show solidarity and confidence to fight against the pandemic
The novel coronavirus is a new mutated viral strain of the Coronaviridae family. The pandemic is referred to as Novel COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019). The virus strain is under research.
PM Modi announced lockdown for 21 days. Lockdown restricts the movement of people and social distancing is maintained. Washing hands with soap often are recommended by healthcare authorities. Amidst all this, there is much fake information being spread on various platforms. Whatsapp is the main source for such misleading messages regarding novel coronavirus. Lots of misinformation for cause, prevention, care, symptoms are shared. Some medicines, herbs, tablets, warm water gargle, tea and many other remedies that are not scientifically proven to cure are suggested. Factors that affect COVID-19 is shared with unproven claims without reasoning. NASA image is again shared. Some people claim clapping kills the virus. Some claim patient zero is found. Some predict the number of patients in three months. Please don’t believe everything you receive, There are official sites like WHO, CDC, PIB, Ministry Of Health And Family Affairs, where you can find the facts.
Many stories started circulating as soon as PM Modi addressed the nation on 3rd April 2020 and asked people to light lamps and candle in balconies or terrace on 5th April 2020 at 9 pm. Various messages started circulating with numerology, heat and light effect on virus, the position of planets etc. Sharing a few screenshots of such message that we are receiving since morning immediately after PM Modi addressed the nation:
“तंत्र में प्रदोष का बहुत महत्व है। और 8 तारीख को आने वाले हनुमान जयंती अवसर के पूर्व 5 तारीख को मदन द्वादशी का प्रदोष काल अति महत्वपूर्ण काल है।
तंत्र मतानुसार प्रदोष काल में कोई अपने घर के सामने या छत पर चौमुखी दीपक सरसों के तेल से लगाए तो उस घर के आसपास संक्रमण समाप्त हो जाता है।
अगर चौमुखी न हो तो 9 दीपक लगाएं।
यह सब जानकर हम आश्चर्य चकित रह गए कि मोदी जी हर क्षेत्र में आगे है।
धन्य है हम ऐसा प्रधानमंत्री पाकर ।
जो आध्यात्म की पराकाष्ठा को छूता हो।

जिनको #अंकशास्त्र की थोड़ी भी जानकारी होगी, उनको पता होगा कि #5_अंक_बुध का होता है.. यह #बीमारी_गले_फेफड़े में ही ज्यादा फैलती है, मुख गले फेफड़े का कारक भी बुध ही होता है.. बुध #राजकुमार भी है।

अब रविवार 5 अप्रैल को, जोकि पूर्णिमा के नजदीक है, मतलब चन्द्र यानी रानी भी मजबूत… सभी प्रकाश बंद करके, रात के 9 बजे, 9 मिनट तक टॉर्च दीपक फ़्लैश लाइट आदि से प्रकाश करना है।
चौघड़िया #अमृत रहेगी, होरा भी उस वक्त सूर्य का होगा…. शनि के काल में सूर्य को जगाने के प्रयास के तौर पर देखा जा सकता है.. 9-9 करके सूर्य के साथ मंगल को भी जागृत करने का प्रयास
मतलब शनि राहु रूपी अंधकार (महामारी) को उसी के शासनकाल में में बुध सूर्य चन्द्र और मंगल मिलकर हराने का संकल्प लेंगे।
जब किसी भी राज्य के राजा रानी राजकुमार व सेनापति सुरक्षित व सशक्त हैं, तो राज्य का कौन अनिष्ट कर सकता है भला.”

The following fake message was then circulated on Whatsapp and other social platforms. In fact, there was nothing like that. There was no such information from NASA. Check the fact check by IndiaTimes:
