An image is being shared on social media with false context. The caption of the post states, “दिल्ली के जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय की यही वो कैटेगरी है जिसे ब्राह्मण और बनियों से दिक्कत है” (This is the category of Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University which has problems with Brahmins and Baniyas.)
The student seen in the viral image is not a JNU student. His name is Pushpak Sen whose image has been falsely used to claim that he is a part of the anti-Brahmin slogan issue at JNU. A viral image can be seen on the account of the user named Pushpak Sen whose Instagram ID is “thebongmunda.” The image was uploaded on 22 May 2022 and was captured at the Great Eastern Lalit hotel in Kolkata. According to the description of the account, he is from Kolkata. The description of the post is “Lavenders and rust ✨
