Shivam Singh, a student at TRC Law College, captured the cheating incident on camera during his fifth semester of the LLB program. Singh disclosed that the college principal solicited money from him to allow cheating during the examination, a proposition he refused. Despite this, when Singh returned to collect his admit card, he was directed straight to the examination centre, City Law College, on February 27, where rampant cheating was underway.
Media reports by Aaj Tak and Dainik Bhaskar shared the mass cheating incident.
According to the report by Amar Ujala, the Vice Chancellor of the Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, the committee decided to cancel the examination which was held and added that it would be held again. A decision was taken against the centre itself, which said that City Law College would not be made an examination centre for the next six years. Additionally, the institute would have to pay a fine of two lakh rupees.
