Verification: Oil Corporation Limited is not providing any Fuel Subsidy Gift
The post is being shared on social media about the Indian Oil fuel subsidy gift by answering a few questions. Social media users are sharing the `Indian Oil Fuel Subsidy Gift’ link. On clicking on the link, we can see the logo of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and a text which reads” We have a wonderful gift for you. Click to claim.”
The questions include: Do you know Amazon? How old are you? What do you think about Amazon? Are you a male or a female?
After the quiz, one is directed to a page where one can see some texts. “You have answered all 4 questions, your IP address is valid for this promotion, and gifts are available and in stock,” reads the text.
Along with the texts, the page included a few comments. Every time one visited the page, it showed ’11 of 183′ comments.
After this, the page showed that the answers were successfully saved. It asked to select the correct box with the gift inside. Visitors were allowed 3 attempts.
Later, a page with around nine gift boxes appeared on the screen. They vanished in seconds. One can’t even click on any of the gift boxes.
On further investigation, we visited the Facebook page of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. A post about this was made on the verified Facebook page of the company on 15 April 2022.

PIB (Press Investigation Bureau) also shared and confirmed that the post is fake.
